Let’s talk about Alaska North Slope housing for workers. Housing on the slope is provided free of charge to all employees. You might have a bedroom all to yourself or you might have a roommate. You might have an attached bathroom that you share with a neighboring room or there could be dorm style bathrooms down the hall. The type of housing you have will depend on which camp you’re in.

There is no such thing as family housing. Your family cannot live with you on the slope. The camps are privately owned and visitors are not allowed.

All bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels, washcloths, etc. are provided. The hard-working housekeeping staff washes these items on a regular basis. There is no charge for these services.
